This vent is designed for automatic exhaust in air-conditioned rooms with positive pressure. Under normal circumstances, the louvers of the vent remain naturally closed due to their own weight, effectively preventing air exchange between indoors and outdoors. However, when the indoor air pressure exceeds the outdoor air pressure, the airflow will push the louvers open, allowing air to escape outward. Conversely, when the indoor air pressure falls below the outdoor air pressure, the airflow cannot flow backward into the room; thus, the vent acts as a one-way check valve.
