Suitable for new-air and return-air systems in Zone 1 and Zone 2 locations where explosive gas mixtures formed by explosive gases or vapors with air are present (such as tunnels, chemical plants, coal mines, petroleum facilities, pharmaceutical plants, nuclear power plants, military industries, subways, textile mills, paint factories, armories, and more). It can be used to regulate airflow in ductwork and is also applicable for mixed regulation of airflow in both fresh-air and return-air ducts.
An explosion-proof air volume control valve is a new type of air-conditioning and ventilation product that incorporates appropriate electrical explosion-proof measures as well as measures to prevent the generation of mechanical sparks. These measures ensure that any heat generated during normal operation and any electric sparks or high temperatures that may arise in the event of a fault are confined within a sealed enclosure, thereby preventing the ignition of surrounding flammable and explosive gases.
