The smoke exhaust outlets of smoke control systems installed in corridors, smoke-control antechambers, or windowless rooms can be either ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted. Normally closed, these outlets open upon receiving a DC24V electrical signal from the control center. They can also be manually opened and reset remotely. The outlet outputs a valve-opening signal and interlocks with related equipment. Plate-type smoke exhaust outlets do not feature a self-closing function that would re-close the outlet once the flue gas temperature reaches 280 degrees Celsius after it has been opened.
